Shuja Haque, M.D. is a Board Certified Psychiatrist in General Psychiatry and Geriatric Psychiatry and specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of psychiatric disorders in adults and seniors. Dr. Haque received his psychiatric training in the United Kingdom and is a member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists of the United Kingdom. He moved to the United States in 1990 and trained at the Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, graduating from their psychiatric residency program in 1992.
Dr. Haque is a Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association, and has been involved in the training of psychiatry fellows, residents and medical students since 1992. He was the Program Director of the Geriatric Psychiatry fellowship training program at Wayne State University School of Medicine, Detroit, Michigan from 2002 till June 2015. Dr. Haque has been an examiner for the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and held leadership positions at the Detroit VA, where he was a Staff Psychiatrist from 1992 until June 30, 2015. Currently he is on staff as core faculty at St. Mary’s Hospital in Livonia, where he teaches and supervises psychiatry residents in the St. Mary’s Hospital general psychiatry residency program.
